With her imaginative and investigative approach she aims to open up a conversation about themes such as control, conflict and co-existence.
Amidst the peaks, I feel small and insignificant, yet also part of something greater, something powerful.
It was there, in the Swiss mountains, that I first became aware of the human imprint on the landscape — a proliferation of houses, ski lifts, road networks, and river dams. The artificial encroached upon the mountain. It laid the groundwork for my critical eye, and I began to question the extent to which we, as humans, can and should manipulate and control our environment.
